Amanda Lang is a well-known Canadian journalist, author, and keynote speaker. She has made a name for herself as a respected business and economics expert, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. However, her path to success was not an easy one.
Born in 1970 in Ontario, Canada, Lang faced numerous challenges early on in life. She lost her father to a sudden death at the age of 11 and her mother to cancer at 25, leaving her to support herself and her four younger siblings. Despite these hardships, Lang persevered and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Architecture. She then went on to earn a Master’s in Journalism from the University of British Columbia.
The Rise to Success
Lang’s career began at the Financial Post as a reporter and eventually became the paper’s New York correspondent. She then joined the Globe and Mail as a columnist and later became their New York correspondent. In 2009, she joined the Business News Network as an anchor for their flagship program “The Exchange.”
Lang’s career reached new heights when she joined the CBC in 2012 as their senior business correspondent. Her role expanded to hosting her own show, “The Exchange with Amanda Lang,” which aired on the CBC and became a popular source for business news
